Flying Into St. George Regional Airport
The closest airport to our Zion house rentals is St. George Regional Airport. While this airport is conveniently located just an hour’s drive from your cabin rental in Zion, it offers a limited number of daily flights, and may not be the best option for travelers on a budget or those who need to fly in or out at a certain time.
However, if you have already booked your flight into this local airport, you have a variety of options for getting to your Springdale UT lodging. First, many travelers opt to rent a car. Hertz Car Rental and National Car Rental both have rental offices at the St. George Regional Airport. There are also a variety of other car rental companies located elsewhere in St. George that may offer shuttles, including Budget, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Avis.
If you don’t want to rent a car, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft or a traditional taxi to get to our Springdale villas. St. George Shuttle also offers shuttle service between St. George and Springdale.
Flying Into Las Vegas, Nevada
Located just three hours from our Springdale villas, Harry Reid International Airport (formerly McCarran International Airport) in Las Vegas, Nevada, is perhaps the most popular option for travelers flying into Southern Utah. This airport is the closest international airport to St. George and Springdale. It sees hundreds of daily flights coming in from major cities across the U.S., as well as to some international destinations.
The most popular option for getting to and from this airport and your Southern Utah vacation rental is to rent a car. This gives you more freedom both on traveling between Las Vegas and Springdale, but also for getting around while you’re there. While you’ll need to use the shuttle to navigate Zion’s Lower Canyon for most of the year, you can use a car to drive the Upper Canyon and to visit Kolob Canyons. Most major American rental car companies have rental desks at Harry Reid International Airport, so you can shop around for the best deal or for the type of vehicle that you prefer.
While a rideshare or taxi between Las Vegas and Springdale would be an expensive option, if you’d prefer not to rent a car during your stay, you can instead book a shuttle service. The St. George Shuttle offers daily transfers between the two cities, as does the Salt Lake Express.
Flying Into Salt Lake City, Utah
While Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas is the closest international airport to St. George and Springdale, it isn’t the only option. Salt Lake City International Airport is just an hour farther away than Las Vegas. At a four-hour drive or ride, this airport offers another option to travelers who may find better flights between their home city and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Similar to flying into Las Vegas, most travelers find it more convenient to rent a car to get from Salt Lake City to their Southern Utah vacation rental. You’ll find rental desks for each of the major car rental companies at the airport. You can also still book a shuttle service to and from this city to your destination. Both the Salt Lake Express and the St. George Shuttle offers daily rides between Salt Lake City and St. George or Springdale.
